PLACE is seeking talented Landscape Design professional(s) to lead and support the creative process for a wide variety of projects.
Landscape Architect/3D Rendering Artist (7+ yrs experience): Position(s) require a degree in landscape architecture, compelling 3D graphic skills, CAD proficiency, and effective project management experience. Strong working experience with 3DS Max, VRay, Photoshop, Revit, and Rhino. An excellent eye for composition, lighting, photography, and photorealism with a strong understanding of 3D modeling, scene assembly, video editing and animation. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with outstanding dedication to client service. Ability to speak Mandarin or Japanese and interest in traveling and living abroad part time is desirable. Equivalent combinations of credentials and experience will be considered.
Project/Landscape Designer (0 – 2 yrs & 4 – 7 yrs experience): Position(s) require a degree in landscape architecture, active design participation, and compelling graphic skills. Experience with Sketch-UP, Rhino, 3DS Max, Revit, Auto CAD, and the Adobe Suite are preferred. The ideal candidate is motivated, with strong communication skills and excels working within a team format. Ability to speak Mandarin or Japanese and interest in traveling and living abroad part time is desirable. Equivalent combinations of credentials and experience will be considered.
Planting Designer/Landscape Architect (12+ yrs. experience): Position(s) require a degree in landscape architecture, design leadership, and extensive horticulture knowledge. Comprehensive experience with planting design theory and composition, plant nomenclature, selection and procurement, and ecologically sustainable plant use. The ideal candidate will possess 12+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a passion for developing conceptual design to construction implementing; striking a balance between technical issues of regional vegetation requirements, soil types, climate, and coverage of physical and visual characteristics to aesthetic considerations including color, form, and seasonal variation. Professional licensure and ISA arborist certification is desirable. Equivalent combinations of credentials and experience will be considered.
International Exchange (2 – 7 yrs experience): Position(s) for a 3 month to a yearlong sabbatical to contribute and support the creative process at PLACE. Candidates will participate in a wide variety of projects, assisting with design charrettes, model making, graphic rendering, public engagement, and site tours. Positions(s) require collaborative ingenuity and compelling graphic skills. Experience with programs such as AutoCAD, 3DS Max, VRay, Photoshop, Revit, Adobe Suite and Rhino is preferred. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and possess strong communication and critical thinking skills over multiple scales.
