Enjoy drinks, light bites, and inspiring performances in the verdant setting of PLACE, a Portland design firm known for its creative and philanthropic spirit.

Evening Highlights

Personal Story by Sonia Ticas, sharing her powerful journey of resilience and hope

Performance by Gemanereida Barragán Cruz (Gema), whose music bridges cultures and generations. Gema will be accompanied by chamber Mariachi, led by award-winning director Lesslie Núñez

Conversation: “Where Opera Meets Mariachi,” exploring the history of opera in Latin America and how opera’s expressive storytelling and musical depth continue to inspire and resonate within Mariachi traditions.
