If there is a fine line between art and nonsense, necessity and ridiculousness, or serious inquiry and delirium, this exhibition does NOT know where that is! ECHOLOCATIONS is a sonic-visual-sensory feast, a surreal dream-wonderland that mirrors our surreal times.
Part retrospective of Wright’s marvelous, large-scale, experimental musical instruments and part playground of new interactive installations that turn musical experience on its head, this wildly eclectic experience blends fantasy, nostalgia, social critique, optimism, and whimsy into a whirlpool of fervent musical fever dreams.
